How long have you been a member of the Patient Access Collaborative?: One and a half years.

What do you like about being a member?: I love having such a large community to learn from at your finger tips. It’s great to have the ability to implement new ideas that are showing success at other organizations that may benefit yours.

How has your career benefited from being a member?: I’ve built connections with many leaders that acted as key resources in the benefit and success of my newly established role.

What tips or advice would you give new members?: Utilize everything PAC has to offer. Be open to learning, building relations and new ideas that develop into key process improvements.

What do you love most about your job?: That I get to interact with many individuals both in and out of patient access that both understand and share the importance of the Revenue Cycle.

What meaningful project are you working on right now?: My most meaningful project is our Revenue Cycle Bootcamp. This course is a mandatory requirement for all new hires that promotes streamlined training and expectations across all roles, in addition, provides resources and support that encourage success and reduce employee turnover.

What career advice do you live by?: Be yourself and others will see the enjoyment and passion in what you are teaching.

Where are you from?  Where did you go to school?: I’m from Ellington, Connecticut where I graduated high school and then received my Bachelors in Psychology and MBA in Healthcare Management from Southern New Hampshire University.

What are your hobbies?: I just had my first baby, a boy, born March 30, 2023 so I am now loving and enjoying the hobbies of being a mom!

Where is your favorite place you've travelled?: Roatan, Honduras. This is where my husband and I got married!

What is a fun fact that people probably don’t know about you? I have almost two decades of dance experience in a variety of styles. Most favorite being tap.

Who inspires you and why?: My husband inspires me. We have been together almost a decade and he met me at the begging of my journey into healthcare as an EMT. He has always pushed me to stay true to myself, follow my dreams and to never settle for less. I am here in my role and successful today due to his love and unconditional support.
