How long have you been a member of the Patient Access Collaborative?: Approaching 1 year

What do you like about being a member?: The ability to connect with peers, share ideas and successful methods, the responses when you push out an inquiry.

How has your career benefited from being a member?: Sharing knowledge and experiences with like-minded health system administrators working to improve the patient experience.    

What tips or advice would you give new members?: Read through what is shared, what is available on the website, and join the conversations. These are critical success factors to a goal we equally strive to achieve.

What do you love most about your job?: The creativity in finding solutions that truly benefit our clinical teams and our patients.

What meaningful project are you working on right now?: Capacity management for access, optimization of workflows, directory automation, increasing after hours answering services and outbound referral management for continuum of care.

What career advice do you live by?: You must focus on developing team members in order to be successful. We are currently beginning a program to cross train and work on stretch assignments so there is understanding, as well as fluidity in decisions made while driving employee engagement.

Where are you from?  Where did you go to school?: Originally from Queens, NY, currently live on Long Island and work in Manhattan. I just completed my MBA in Health Management from St. Joseph's University and am working toward my MS in Organizational Management.

What are your hobbies?: I enjoy cooking, game night, the NY Rangers, and the NY Giants.

Where is your favorite place you've travelled?: Turks and Caicos

What's a fun fact that people probably don't know about you?: I love heavy rock music.

Who inspires you and why?: The successful women whom I have been fortunate enough to work alongside. They are poised, confident, and knowledgeable.
