The Patient Access Collaborative has been engaged in ambulatory access center management for more than a decade — our mission is to transfer that knowledge to you.

Who Should Take This Course

This course is designed for anyone active in ambulatory access center management — or interested in entering the field. Experienced contact center personnel will gain breadth and depth across the discipline, while those new to the field will build a strong foundation. No specific expertise is required, though familiarity with the ambulatory environment may aid in learning.

What You'll Learn

System-agnostic education covering the pillars of ambulatory access center management: contact center metrics, training fundamentals, quality assurance, workforce management, automation, nurse triage, retention and recruitment, business continuity, and telephony. A "day in the life" real-world application rounds out the curriculum. This course complements technical contact center training with a management-focused perspective.

What's Included

  • Nine to twelve hours of asynchronous audiovisual education delivered virtually at the learner's convenience
  • Knowledge assessments for each required module
  • Companion case study with supplemental office hours
  • Synchronous virtual sessions with industry expert guest speakers
  • Certificate of completion upon achieving 70% or higher on tests and case study

Time Commitment

An estimated 17 total hours of education and simulated learning, completed at your own pace. The course must be completed within 12 months of registration.
