Master Class on Ambulatory Capacity Management - Session 1 registration closes Dec. 1
Rationale: A new role of capacity management to support the ambulatory enterprise is emerging in health systems - and we want to help. The Patient Access Collaborative has been engaged in ambulatory capacity management for more than a decade - our mission is to transfer our knowledge about this important topic to you.
Audience: Persons who are new to the field of ambulatory capacity management - or interested in a role in the field. May also be applicable for experienced personnel who want to ensure a breadth and depth of knowledge in the field. No specific expertise or experience necessary, however, familiarity with ambulatory operations may aid in learning.
Curriculum: System-agnostic education about ambulatory capacity management to include an overview of the field, capacity management metrics, benefits and drawbacks of centralization, fundamentals of template design, organizational structures of capacity management teams, and optimization strategies.
Content Delivery:
- Four hours of asynchronous audiovisual education delivered virtually to be viewed at the learner's convenience
- Accompanying knowledge tests for each module
- Companion case study for learner with optional 1:1 synchronous feedback session
- Synchronous virtual session with expert as guest speaker
- Certificate of completion based on participation and achieving 70% or more on tests and case study
Time: An estimated 12 total hours of education and simulated learning experience, to be completed at the learner's pace.
When Can I Start? Our course will be released by December 1, 2023 -- so sign up now to be included in the first cohort.* The initial synchronous session will feature Matthew Turrentine, Manager, Access Innovation & Support, Duke Health Access Services.
